Concert Poster Fans and city officials greeting us upon our arrival at the Dipolog airport Banners and posters were all over the city We were the first non-Filipino band to ever perform in Dipolog With great promotion and radio airplay, the 6000 seat arena was sold-out Everywhere we went, there were fans seeking autographs and photos The BlueGirls are mobbed while trying to depart the scene A local radio DJ interviews the girls. We visited about 7 radio stations in two days Another radio interview. Several songs from Supernova were in the Top-10 charts in Dipolog Shown here interviewed by yet another station who was also playing Supernova in heavy rotation A very excited autograph seeker meets the guitar man Everyone seemed to have a cell phone / camera To promote the show we toured local colleges and high schools The school visits were brief and involved short speeches and quick autographs At many events we were mobbed by friendly fans Trying to get back in the van for the next appearance Even though we didn't perform even one song at these appearances, the kids treated us like the Beatles Michael is mobbed again The mayor greeted us and attended the show The city hosted a parade with a motorcade in our honor The 2nd vehicle in the motorcade getting ready to head to the parade Michael take over the city These kids had to wait several hours for our 2 minute appearance. When our van approached the stands, the screams were deafening The city set up a movie screen on the main boulevard and showed our promotional DVD every night With a group of excited kids on the street Nikki rarely had time to rest Kristen and Rodolfo greet fans Showtime, Friday Night Nikki plays to the sold-out crowd of 6000 A local dance troop learned two of our songs routines and joined us on-stage Our concert was a historic event for the city and one of their largest events ever This arena had previously hosted Filipino stars such as Vina Morales and Randy Santiago We performed a set consisting of several tunes from Supernova, a few covers and two Filipino songs Dipolog City in located in the northern part of Mindanao The sound company (Sound Chaser) was brought in from Manila Lighting was not up to normal standards but the sound filled the arena Dipolog has about 120,000 residents. More than 5% of them attended the sold-out show Near the end of the concert the fans got crazy Rudy, Scott and Michael jamming Layla sang two songs in Tagolog (native Filipino language) Layla, a native of Dipolog, instantly became a local hero Filipinos especially love ballads but they liked to rock as well Michael and Scott as the crowd pushes up.
