Tahiti Trip Highlights

• Performed at Aorai Tinirau Theater for over 3000 screaming fans
• Invited to meet the President of Tahiti, Gaston Flosse at a party held at his residence.
• Posters with Liquid Blue all over the city of Papeete (see below)
• Several radio interviews on Radio Maohi 92.3 (Scott & Nikki)
• Radio station played four Liquid Blue songs
• Met the Miss Tahiti Contestants
• Witnessed performance by Les Grands Ballets, the premiere Tahitian dancing group.
• Drove around the island of Tahiti
• Promoter hosted the band to stay on the island of Moorea at Club Med.
• Drove around the island of Moorea.
• Surfed, bodysurfed at Papara
• Snorkeled in Moorea
• Heard Liquid Blue song "Be My Baby Tonight" on radio while driving around
• Several newspaper articles & photos in newspapers, Les Nouvelles and La Depeche
• Met world champion shot putter Noella. (Tahitian but represents New Zealand)
• World class sound system for both gigs and great engineer Frances.
• Tahiti Nui airlines was one of the best we've experienced. Individual TV's, choice of movies, etc.
• Our rooms overlooked Pater soccer stadium and housed many athletes.
• Weather was almost perfect. We came during the cooler dry season. 70 to 85 daily.
• Greeted upon arrival by newspaper cameraman
• Visited downtown Papeete for shopping, internet.
• Made a true friend in our wonderful guide Vavitu Salmon
• Had great lunch in town of Paea
• Visited world famous surfing spot Teahupoo
• Went to happy hour at Le Meridian Hotel and watched Vavitu perform
• Great meal at Saturday's performance
• Michael and Tim sat in with Tahitian band after our show
• Michael break dancing
• Dinner on final evening was incredible thanks to promoter Jean-Yves
