So Close To Heaven

So Close To Heaven is about meditation and our pursuit of inner peace or self-realization. To the Christian it is "heaven", to the Buddhist it is nirvana, to the Hindu it is samadhi. In the 2nd verse, 4th line, "We hear the sound" is the cosmic sound of Om or Amen. Meditation is a non-denomination practice that is advocated by scriptures of almost all major religions.
