Band Performs at UCSD for Nader Rally

Liquid Blue met a living legend on Saturday in the person of Ralph Nader. To some, Nader has become controversial due to his presidential bids but there is no denying the positive impact he has had on our society. The band played three songs to open the Nader Rally at UCSD including "If You Gotta Ask" and "Real". Scott Stephens had the privilege of introducing Ralph to the enthusiastic college crowd.

Ralph Nader is a consumer advocate, lawyer, author, and has been named by Time Magazine as one of the 100 Most Influential Americans in the Twentieth Century. For over four decades Ralph Nader has exposed problems and organized millions of citizens into more than 100 public interest groups to advocate for solutions. His efforts have helped to create a framework of laws, regulatory agencies, and federal standards that have improved the quality of life for two generations of Americans. His groups were instrumental in enacting the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the Safe Drinking Water Act.

Because of Ralph Nader we drive safer cars, eat healthier food, breath better air, drink cleaner water, and work in safer environments.

"If You Gotta Ask" Nominated for 2008 Posi Award

The emPower Music & Arts "Posi Awards" have completed their 2008 nominees and "If You Gotta Ask" has been nominated for a Posi in the Social and Spiritual Action category. The Posi (Positive) Awards, introduced in 2005, honor the songwriters and artists who are spreading the uniting message of New Thought through music. Each year, the winners of the Posi Awards are announced at a gala awards ceremony featuring the powerful music and extraordinary artists who are transforming lives and helping to achieve peace on our planet. All of the nominated songs are featured on the Itoi New Thought Songwriters Tribute CD each year. The Posi Awards ceremony is held at Unity Village in Kansas City, Missouri, in September, and features all of the year’s nominees performing their nominated songs during New Thought Music Week, Sept 14th thru 20th, highlighted by the Posi Awards Sept 14th and a Mega PosiPalooza concert Sept 15th.
