Liquid Blue in Las Vegas for New Year's Eve

 

Liquid Blue will perform at the Monte Carlo Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year's eve.

Ecuador/Honduras Tour

 

Liquid Blue performed in South America (Ecuador) and Central America (Honduras) from Dec 16th thru Dec 29th.  The band played at the United States Embassy in Ecuador and also gave a 2nd show at the Ambassadors residence. There was also a large outdoor show at a college which was heavily promoted by TV, radio and the press.

Halftime Performance at San Diego Chargers NFL game

 

Liquid Blue will perform at halftime of the San Diego Chargers game vs the Arizona Cardinals at Qualcomm Stadium on Sunday, November 25th.

Liquid Blue will perform at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on Tuesday, November 6th.  

News Flash 11/2001: Newspaper Article in Coast News

Liquid Blue was featured in an article in the November 7th, 2001 issue of the Coast News. The article featured a photo also. This is the 12th article written recently on Liquid Blue. The band has also been featured on five magazine covers. Unheard of for a cover band. 

News Flash 10/2001: Alaska Tour

Liquid Blue will perform in the State of Alaska for 10 days from October 21st to October 30th. The tour will take the band to Anchorage & Fairbanks.

Liquid Blue has won the award for "Best Rock Band" in the 2001 San Diego Reader's Best Awards poll.

Liquid Blue has won the award for "Best Dance Show" in the 2001 San Diego Reader's Best Awards poll.

San Diego Music Awards: Nominated for "Best Bar Band"

 

Liquid Blue has been nominated for "Best Bar Band" by the San Diego Music Awards. The nominees are selected by a panel composed of music industry representatives and San Diego Night Club owners. Past winners included Rockola, the Steely Dammed and the Heroes. 

News Flash 9/2001: Caribbean Tour

Liquid Blue performed in two Countries in the Caribbean from Sept 4th thru Sept 18th this year. The countries were Honduras and the Bahamas. Two countries that were scheduled on this tour were cancelled due to the attack on the U.S. on Sept 11th. Those countries were Puerto Rico and Cuba. 

 

News Flash 9/2001: Liquid Blue Stuck In Honduras

Liquid Blue was on a USO tour at Soto Cano military base in Honduras when the 9/11 attacks occurred. Band members were sitting in a mess hall watching the events on TV as they happened, with members of the Armed Forces. The band is unable to leave Honduras to continue the scheduled tour as all flights have been cancelled. The band plans to perform additional shows on the base to boost troop morale.

The new video is out! Shot at Southwestern College and Qualcomm Stadium from performances this year, it contains 10 songs clips and celebrity endorsements.

Liquid Blue performs at N.A.T.O. Headquarters

On Saturday, August 25th, Liquid Blue headlined the annual fun fest at N.A.T.O. headquarters in Mons, Belgium. Throughout the year each of the member countries holds their own festival. This was the grand festival which included all 19 countries of N.A.T.O. Liquid Blue was honored to be selected to headline the show.

News Flash 8/2001: European Tour

Liquid Blue will be performing in five European Countries from August 8th thru August 24th this year. The countries are Belgium, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia & Bosnia/Herzegovina.

The new official BlueGirls 2002 swimsuit calendar has been completed and is available online and at performances.

Liquid Blue has been selected as:

"Best Dance Band in the U.S.A. 2001"  

by the National Music Awards. The winners for this prestigious award are selected by talent agents nationwide. 

News Flash 7/2001: African Tour

Liquid Blue will be performing in Mozambique, Africa from July 1st to July 10th this year. We'll be performing at the U.S. Embassy for the U.S. Ambassador and members of the Mozambican ministries & congressmen.

Liquid Blue has been sponsored/endorsed by several leading music related companies in 2001. The companies include: Sabine, Soundbridge, Furman, Lightronics & MusicYo. Sabine is using Liquid Blue in it's current advertising.

News Flash 6/2001: KGB Sky Show with Eddie Money

Liquid Blue will be performing at Qualcomm Stadium as the local headlining act for KGB's Sky Show concert following the renowned rock & roll fireworks show. Also performing on the same stage is pop superstar Eddie Money, who is the national headliner for the event. Money had such hits as "Baby Hold On To Me" "Two Tickets to Paradise and "Shakin", among others.

The BlueGirls, sang the National Anthem at Qualcomm Stadium before the Padres game on Saturday, April 28th, 2001, before a large crowd of over 50,000.

Liquid Blue was just voted San Diego's Best Band, by readers of the Entertainer Magazine for the 2nd year in a row. (for years 2000 & 2001). The band not only received the most votes in the band category, but received the most votes in any category and was the Entertainer Magazine Grand Champion for 2001.

Liquid Blue will be departing March 1st for a four week tour to five countries in Southwest Asia and Africa including Egypt, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Kuwait!
