On cruise lines, Liquid Blue creates each show to conform to the wishes of the audience. Generally, on most cruise
vessels although the passengers are of various ages, the majority of them
are in their 40's, 50's, 60's and above. Therefore we put special emphasis
on our Golden Oldies repertoire from the 50's, 60's and 70's. Check out some

Theme Nights
Since 2003, Liquid Blue has been performing
on select cruises with Princess Cruise Lines. The band is familiar with
all of the cruise staff theme shows including:
The band has enough material to keep the
theme running throughout the evening, not just during the official
cruise staff event. For example, on country night, the lounge is decked
with a country feel, the band is dressed in country attire and the music
is country all night long.
Liquid Blue has played at least once in every venue on the Princess Grand Class ships, including: The Explores
Lounge, The Vista Lounge, The Princess Theater, The Wheelhouse Bar, The
Promenade Lounge, The Piazza and outdoors on the Pool deck. To top it
off, our DJ, Layla Loxa, who has been part of Liquid Blue since 1998, is a house DJ in Skywalkers Night Club.
The band has ample material for ballroom
dancing including the Rumba, Cha-Cha, Waltz, Tango, Quick Step, Night
Club Two Step, Foxtrot, etc.
Various members of the band are capable
of performing solo or duo acts suitable for the Piano bar (The Promanade),
or the Atrium (The Piazza).
Band Configurations Offered
We offer flexibility in band size, going
from 2 to 7. Generally, for most purposes, group size of six is the most
popular due to the inclusion of the BlueGirls and the price savings of not
carrying a bass player. If cabin space is limited, the group works very
well with four members including a male and female vocalist who double on
keys, but excluding the BlueGirls dancer-vocalists. With the contemporary
look and feel, it's very obvious the band is well suited for younger
audiences, but our real forte is longer cruises and older passengers.
This is due to our large repertoire of 600 songs and our versatility.
Even on world cruises of 30 to 100 days, passengers can expect some new
songs every night and a great mix of styles and decades. We have
numerous theme shows that are best utilized for these longer cruises.
