The Liquid Blue Horn Section features some of the top players in the world including section leader and Grammy Winner Rick Rossi.
Rick is joined by Anne King on Trumpet, who is a Grammy nominee, works with
Rod Stewart, toured with Guns & Roses and played on the 2012 season of
American Idol, and
Wendell Kelly on Trombone,
who has toured with Stevie Wonder, Beyonce and Whitney Houston, to name a few. See below for more complete biographies on each performer.
Liquid Blue is available with one to nine horns. The standard BlueBrass section consists of three performers; Sax, Trombone and Trumpet.
As you'll see from the bio's below, all nine musicians are "A Players" with amazing resumes.
Rick Rossi, Tenor Sax
BlueBrass section leader Rick Rossi was nominated for a Grammy Award three times in his career, winning one in 2000.
He has composed and arranged music for television and film and appeared numerous times on national television,
The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Good Morning America, David Letterman, Conan O’Brien,
Friends, The West Wing, ER, Baywatch, Six Feet Under, MTV, and VH-1 Star
Trek-First Contact, Deep Space Nine, Nixon, and many, many more. Rick was a
featured soloist on the Grammy-Award winning multi-platinum CD The Dirty
Boogie. He has played in the most famous venues around the world with
legendary artists such as Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Tony Bennett, Bobby
Caldwell, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Cher, and Shakira. As composer,
recording artist and musical director Rick has worked on major Hollywood
releases and popular television series. Most recently he has appeared in the Hollywood features, The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons, The Wedding Crashers and Monster-In-Law, and Rumor Has It.

Anne is currently the trumpet player for Rod Stewart (when he is on tour)
and Liquid Blue.

Rick Keller, Sax
Rick has been constantly inspired by music from many countries as a result of concerts and recordings including
Ghanaian master drummer Kofi Misiso, tabla master Trilok Gurtu and countless other international musicians.
The beauty of music from exotic lands remains an inspiration for Rick to constantly write new music for a variety of instrumentation and style influences.
Some of the most notable musicians Rick has performed alongside include: Billy Cobham, Joe Sample,Trilok Gurtu, Zakir Hussain,

Lior Ron, Trumpet
Lior Graduated from the I.D.F.O University in Tel-Aviv in 2003, majoring in composition, arranging for orchestra and conducting.
Between the years 2003-2008 Lior worked as a free-lance trumpet player, arranger, composer and musical producer in the Tel-Aviv music scene.

Lior was the Trumpet player for "The Tonight Show With Lior Schlein Band" 2006-2008,
Playing live on national television on a daily basis. Lior was the principal Trumpet player for "Kohav Nolad", Israel's "American Idol".
Lior has many hours of performing in theater musicals, "Guys and Dolls", "Chicago", "The Producers" and more.
Lior Played with Robin Gibb of the Bee-Gees in his Israel Tour in 2007.
John Roberts, Trombone
Feeling equally comfortable in orchestral and commercial music realms, John has been touring, recording, and performing in Los Angeles, around the U.S. and around the world, including India, Europe, the Caribbean, Australia and Africa. Tours include Ricardo Lemvo and Makina Loca (Congolese/Cuban), Bobby Womack (Soul), Los Pinguos (Argentine),The Temptations, and The New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. Other performances and recordings include 2008 and 2009 Grammys, Chris Botti, Feist, Sting, Dr. Dre, Mariah Carey, Frank Sinatra Jr., Chaka Khan, Burt Bacharach, The Ojays, Christina Aguilera, NPR, PBS, Disney, and others.

Robert Kyle, Tenor Sax
Saxophonist/Flutist/Composer Robert Kyle has performed & recorded with Stevie Wonder, Natalie Cole, Michael McDonald, Jason Mraz, Chaka Khan, Michael Bolton,
Linda Ronstadt, Carole King, Kenny Loggins, Brenda Russell, Lou Rawls, Della Reese, Babyface, Jessica Simpson and more.
Robert has eight CD’s out under his own name and he also has a long list of arranging & production credits.
Kye Palmer, Trumpet
Kye Palmer is a trumpet player who currently performs with the Tonight Show Band.
Kye has also performed with the Hawk-Richard Jazz Orchestra, Woody Herman Orchestra, Bob Dylan, Tony Bennett, Joe Williams, and Diane Schuur.
TV appearances include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Night with David Letterman, Good Morning America, the Today Show, and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
He has recorded for several major motion picture soundtracks, including Three to Tango, Stuart Little, and Me, Myself & Irene.
Kye has also appeared on the BSO's Grammy award winning recording of "Caravan", the certified gold CD Best of the Big Band.
Duane Benjamin, Trombone
Duane Benjamin is a multi-facetted musician who plays trombone, and electric bass.
He has performed with such industry legends as The Jackson 5, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight,
The O’jays, Barry White, Vanessa Williams and EnVogue. Currently he has been doing horn section arrangement for famed bassist Stanley Clark.
Other music credits include; Musical Director and Composer for the hit musical “Madame Lilly” starring Gladys Knight,
performing on the “Tonight Show” and the “BET Gospel Fest”.
